Morocco Showcases Centuries of Flavors at Paris International Agricultural Show 2026

Paris – Amine Naji
The Kingdom of Morocco marked a strong presence at the 62nd edition of the Paris International Agricultural Show (SIA 2026), held from February 21 to March 1, 2026, at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Under the theme “Morocco, Centuries of Flavors”, the Moroccan pavilion once again celebrated the country’s rich agricultural heritage and the diversity of its local products.
For the 13th consecutive year, Morocco’s participation in this major international event provided an opportunity to promote the Kingdom’s territorial products, traditional know-how, and the economic potential of rural communities, particularly cooperatives and small-scale farmers.
The official opening of the Moroccan pavilion took place on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in the presence of Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests Ahmed El Bouari, and Morocco’s Ambassador to France Samira Sitail, alongside several Moroccan and French officials and agricultural sector stakeholders.
A Showcase of Moroccan Terroir and Cooperative Excellence
The Moroccan pavilion brought together 30 producer groups representing 46 cooperatives and more than 740 small farmers, highlighting the diversity of Moroccan agricultural products and the ecological richness of the Kingdom’s regions.
Women from rural areas played a major role in this participation, representing 61% of the beneficiaries, reflecting Morocco’s commitment to supporting rural women’s empowerment and strengthening the role of cooperatives as drivers of inclusive local development.
Through a wide range of products, including argan oil, saffron, dates, honey, aromatic and medicinal plants, olive products, and other regional specialties, the Moroccan delegation showcased a unique combination of authenticity, quality, and centuries-old traditions.
Promoting Sustainable and Inclusive Agriculture
Beyond the commercial dimension, Morocco’s presence at SIA 2026 reflects the strategic importance of local products in the country’s agricultural development policies, particularly through initiatives aimed at improving farmers’ incomes, supporting cooperatives, and enhancing the international visibility of Moroccan terroir products.
The Paris International Agricultural Show, one of the world’s leading agricultural events, represents a strategic platform for exchanges between producers, professionals, investors, and consumers. Morocco’s participation continues to strengthen its position as a country where agricultural innovation meets cultural heritage.
With the slogan “Morocco, Centuries of Flavors”, the Moroccan pavilion offered visitors an authentic journey through the Kingdom’s regions, celebrating the diversity of its landscapes, the expertise of its farmers, and the richness of its agricultural identity.
